Where a profession or service requires specific qualifications, registration or a licence, BYOU asks for the applicable documents. Requirements differ by profession and location.

A profile shows the professional's stated role, location, languages, services, qualifications, price and availability. It also shows which administrative checks BYOU has recorded for that profile.

Customers should read the complete profile and ask questions before booking. For regulated professions, customers can also consult the relevant public register in their location.

Approval is an administrative platform check. It is not a guarantee of results, an endorsement of every statement a professional makes, or a replacement for a regulator's register.

Professionals on BYOU are independent providers. They are responsible for working within their competence and meeting the laws and professional rules that apply to them.
